Due diligence

Security, reliability and migration

The questions teams ask before they move their company email to us — answered plainly, including the places where the honest answer is “not yet”. If something you need to know is missing from this page, ask us and we will tell you straight.

Where your data lives

Where is mail data stored?
Mailbox data is stored in AWS, US East region.
Where do the application servers run?
Our application servers run on Hetzner in Singapore — the closest major region to Nepal and South Asia, which is what keeps the app responsive for teams here.
Where does outbound mail go out from?
Outbound mail is sent from our own mail servers in Nepal. We run the sending infrastructure ourselves rather than reselling someone else's.
What about video calls?
Video huddles use an on-demand WebRTC SFU, spun up regionally worldwide so the call routes close to the people on it.

Moving your team over

Can I import our existing mailboxes?
Yes. Mailbox import over IMAP is supported, so mail from Gmail, Outlook or any IMAP provider comes across with you. Set the domain up, verify the DNS records, import, and switch the MX record last — mail keeps arriving at the old inbox until you do, so there is no gap.
Can I bring Slack history or Jira boards?
Not as a one-click import. Slack history and Jira boards are migrated manually, and our team helps you do it rather than leaving you with a CSV and good luck. Tell us what you are moving and we will tell you honestly what it will take.

Sending and deliverability

Is there an outbound sending limit?
Up to 3,000 outbound emails a day. That covers normal business mail, marketing campaigns to a customer list, and transactional mail from your own app through our API. If you need more, talk to us before you sign up rather than after.
How do you handle authentication?
SPF, DKIM and DMARC records are generated for your domain at setup and verified in the dashboard. Spam filtering is tuned per user rather than one setting for the whole company, and a whitelist keeps the suppliers you deal with daily out of the junk folder. There is a full walkthrough of the DNS records here.

Leaving, if it comes to that

How do I get my data out?
Request an export and you get your data within 48 hours. Mail is standard IMAP, so you can also pull it into any other client or provider yourself at any time, without asking us at all.
What does it cost at our size?
One flat price — $2 per user per month at 3 users or 300, with every feature included. Storage and AI credits are the only things that scale with use, and they are pay as you go. Billing is in NPR with a VAT invoice for Nepali businesses, paid by eSewa, FonePay, Khalti or bank transfer.

Something not answered here?

Ask before you commit, not after. Write to [email protected] or message us on WhatsApp. We answer in Nepal time, and we would rather lose a sale to an honest answer than win one and have you find out later.
