Connect Roomie to AI Agents - Give Claude, Kimi and Any AI Full Workspace Context

Roomie now exposes an MCP server so AI agents like Claude, Kimi and Antigravity can search your tasks, projects, boards, messages, and emails. One workspace, any AI agent, total context.
What if your AI agent could see everything your team is working on? Not just a single file or a pasted snippet, but your actual tasks, messages, projects, and boards. That is what Roomie's MCP integration does.
Roomie now works as an MCP server. You connect your AI agent once, and it gets full context of your workspace. Claude can read your sprint board. Kimi can search your message history and emails. Any MCP-compatible AI can look up a task, read the conversation around it, check related emails, and help you act on it.
No other workspace tool does this.
What Is MCP and Why It Matters
MCP stands for Model Context Protocol. It is an open standard that lets AI agents connect to external tools and read structured data from them. Think of it as a universal plug that gives AI agents access to the systems you actually use.
Without MCP, you end up copy-pasting context into your AI chat. You paste a task description, then a Slack message, then a calendar invite, then explain how they all connect. It is slow, error-prone, and you lose half the context anyway.
With MCP, your AI agent connects directly to Roomie and pulls the context it needs. It can search across tasks, projects, boards, messages, and emails. It sees the full picture, not a fragment you remembered to paste.
How It Works in Roomie
Setting up MCP in Roomie takes about two minutes.
Step 1: Open MCP Integration Settings
Go to your profile settings in Roomie. You will see an MCP Integration option that says "Connect AI agents to your workspace."

Step 2: Get Your Server URL and Setup Command
Click on MCP Integration and you will see your server URL along with setup commands for different AI agents. Roomie supports:
- Claude Code — run a single terminal command
- Kimi — paste the configuration
- Antigravity — paste the configuration
- Generic JSON — works with any MCP-compatible AI agent

Step 3: Connect Your AI Agent
For Claude Code, you just run one command in your terminal:
claude mcp add --transport http roomie-workspace https://app.roomie.work/v1/api/mcp
Authorize with your Roomie account when prompted, and you are done. Your AI agent can now search tasks, projects, boards, messages, and emails in your workspace.
What Your AI Agent Can Actually Do
Once connected, your AI agent has access to your full workspace context — tasks, messages, projects, boards, and emails. Here is what that looks like in practice.
Software Engineering
This is where it gets powerful. Say you have a task ROOMIENP-167 in your sprint board. Instead of opening Roomie, reading the task, scrolling through related messages, and then figuring out what to do, you just tell Claude:
> "Look at ROOMIENP-167. Read the related messages and create a plan for implementing it."
Claude searches your Roomie workspace, finds the task, reads the description, pulls in the conversation history around it, and gives you a proper implementation plan. Then it can write the code based on real context, not a vague description you typed from memory.
This works for code reviews, sprint planning, bug investigations, and any engineering workflow where context matters.
Customer Support
Connect your support team's Roomie workspace to an AI agent. When a new ticket comes in, the AI can:
- Search past messages for similar issues and how they were resolved
- Look up the customer's previous conversations
- Draft a response based on actual resolution history
- Create follow-up tasks if the issue needs escalation
Your support team spends less time searching and more time solving.
Project Management
Ask your AI agent questions like:
- "What tasks are blocking the release?"
- "Summarize everything discussed about the payment integration this week"
- "What did the design team decide about the new onboarding flow?"
The AI searches across your boards, messages, emails, and tasks to give you an answer grounded in what actually happened, not what someone remembered to write in a status update.
Travel and Operations
For teams managing travel, events, or logistics, the AI can read your calendar, check task boards for preparation items, and help coordinate across team members. Ask it to create a checklist for an upcoming trip based on past trip tasks and conversations.
Sales and Business Development
Before a client meeting, ask your AI agent to pull together everything your team has discussed about that client. Messages, tasks, meeting notes, follow-up items. You walk into the meeting fully prepared without spending thirty minutes searching.
Why This Is Different from "AI Features"
Every workspace tool has AI features now. Slack has AI search. Notion has AI writing. Jira has AI summaries. But all of those are closed systems. The AI works inside the tool, and only in the ways the tool decided to implement.
Roomie's approach is fundamentally different. Instead of building a walled garden, Roomie exposes your workspace data through MCP so you can use any AI agent you want. You are not locked into Roomie's built-in AI. You can use Claude for deep reasoning, Kimi for fast lookups, or any future AI agent that supports MCP.
This means:
- You choose your AI. Use the best model for the job, not whatever the tool vendor picked.
- Your workflow stays yours. The AI agent works where you already work, whether that is your terminal, your IDE, or a chat interface.
- You get full context. The AI sees your tasks, messages, emails, projects, and boards together. Not just one slice.
- It improves automatically. As AI models get better, your Roomie integration gets better too. No waiting for the workspace vendor to ship an update.
One Workspace, Any AI Agent
Most teams use five or more tools, and none of them talk to each other. Your chat is in Slack. Your tasks are in Jira. Your email is in Gmail. Your calendar is in Google Calendar. When you want AI help, you have to manually bridge all of that context.
Roomie puts chat, tasks, email, and calendar in one place. MCP lets any AI agent access all of it — including your emails. The combination means your AI agent has something no other setup can give it: complete workspace context.
That is not a small thing. Context is the difference between an AI that gives generic advice and an AI that gives you a specific, actionable plan based on what your team is actually doing.
